Certain Truth in an Uncertain World

The Book of Luke: Certain Truth in an Uncertain World

Sermon Title - Sermon Series - Session #

Message Notes

Summary:
In an uncertain world filled with confusion, competing voices, and shifting definitions of truth, Luke opens his Gospel by showing that the truth about Jesus can be known with certainty. Christianity is not built on blind faith, personal preference, or religious imagination. It is grounded in the trustworthy witness of Scripture, eyewitness testimony, and the revealed Christ. Luke wrote so believers would be anchored in the truth about Jesus and live with confidence, stability, obedience, and faith.

Key Scripture: Luke 1:1-4
Luke wrote an orderly account so that believers may know the certainty of the things they have been taught.

Important Takeaway:
We do not get to invent a Jesus who fits our preferences. We are called to submit to the Jesus revealed in Scripture. When we are certain about who Jesus truly is, our lives become anchored, even in seasons of confusion, suffering, doubt, and cultural pressure.

Conclusion:
God has not left His people in the dark. Through the Gospel of Luke, He gives us certain truth in His Son. In a world of uncertainty, believers can stand firm because Jesus is not imagined, invented, or preferred. He is revealed, trustworthy, and enough.
